LES House System
Here at Ladson Elementary we are one school with eight houses! Every Friday is "Whose House Friday" where the whole school can wear their school house shirt. Once a month we have Mega House days, we would love to see everyone go all out in their house color!
We implement the Ron Clark Academy (RCA) house system at our school which creates a community among our students while encouraging student leadership and motivation to succeed in school. All students and staff are sorted into one of the eight houses at our school.
Altruismo: House of Givers - origins trace to the rainforests of the Amazon; their house color is black and the main symbol is a snake.
Amistad: House of Friendship - origins trace from Mexico; their house color is red and the main symbol is a peacock.
Isibindi: House of Courage - they take after a pride of lions (family means everything); their house color is green and their main symbol is a lion.
Nukumori: House of Kindness - origins trace from Japan; their house color is purple and the main symbol is a dragon.
Onraka: House of Unity - origins trace from the land beyond the Himalayan mountains; their color is orange and the main symbol is the Bengal tiger.
Protos: House of Success - an ancient house of wisdom; their color is teal and the main symbol is a bear.
Reveur: House of Dreamers - a royal house with origins from France; their color is blue and the main symbol is a wolf.
Sollevare: House of Uplifting - origins from Italy; their color is yellow and the main symbol is a phoenix.
In addition to promoting a sense of belonging, the RCA house system also encourages student leadership. Students can take on leadership roles within their houses, such as serving as house captains or leading house events. These roles help students develop important leadership skills and build self-confidence.
We will continue to add more House information throughout the school year.
